The best storefront does not ask a mobile customer to complete seven screens before they can talk to you. It lets them tap a product, opens WhatsApp, and writes the first message for them.
Make the tap carry intent
A good product link should send the product name, SKU, selected variant, and store context into the chat. Your team starts with “In stock. Size and address?” instead of “Which item did you mean?”
Put links where customers already are
Instagram bios, ads, printed QR codes, collection pages, and product detail pages should all point to the same clean hand-off. The less a customer has to type, the less can go wrong.
Keep the order in the dashboard
The chat is where the sale happens, but the dashboard is where the order becomes trackable. Capture customer details, product choices, delivery zone, fees, and payment state as the conversation progresses.
